Information processed
Authorized Shopify and website product information and images, connected-account identity and credentials, uploaded media, merchant guidance, generated drafts, SEO fields, tags, alt text, permission records, support communications and operational records. With applicable permissions, Instagram professional-account media and engagement metrics support product-history views and campaign recommendations. NOMEV does not currently ingest Shopify orders or sales history.
Instagram recommendations and history
NOMEV uses available Instagram media and engagement evidence for product-history views and campaign recommendations under the applicable workspace permissions. Local image comparisons are distinct from optional external image analysis. Matches and uncertain evidence are labeled; engagement is not proof of purchases. Missing history is not proof that a product has never been posted. This is not a permanent Instagram archive.
Product usage analytics
NOMEV records signed-in screen visits, feature actions, campaign milestones, server response durations and HTTP status categories to understand use, identify failures and improve the workflow. These account-linked records are available only through the operator administration dashboard. New mobile and feature events use fixed screen/action names, not draft text, images, passwords or form entries. No session replay or external analytics provider is added. Privacy choices and source-content panels are excluded from click tracking. Existing operational records remain subject to access and deletion requests.
Background recommendations
For new accounts, completing Business setup after its disclosure enables background preparation using encrypted working recommendations and Instagram history for up to seven days, with recent engagement refreshed approximately every six hours and deeper history daily for recently active workspaces. Seven days is the lifetime of a working snapshot, not a deadline to return or a limit on saved campaigns. This permission does not send images to OpenAI. Initial ideas use available catalog and website facts; Instagram can improve them as checks finish. Turning this choice off removes working snapshots and stops preparation between visits; on-visit recommendations remain available.
Purpose and availability
Subject recognition is optional and off until you enable it. When enabled, it identifies visible subjects, settings and seasons, and assesses composition, light/color and clarity at preview size to help find similar artistic products after you choose a direction and request a comparison. Curator does not generate, gate or score the recommendation list. Visual quality is a subjective editorial assessment, not a measurement of engagement or sales. Results can be wrong; they are suggestions, not verified product identities or predictions of sales. Place names such as Vermont require supporting product information. You may choose a different product or decline a recommendation.
Images and context shared with OpenAI
After the workspace owner gives permission, NOMEV sends a limited selection of authorized catalog images when you request similar products in the chooser; it does not send images to Curator while preparing recommendations. Images and relevant descriptive context from the selected authorized sources are processed by the OpenAI API. Only authorize sources and imagery you have the right to use this way. Connecting an account or supplying a public website alone does not enable this sharing. Engagement metrics and ranking remain inside NOMEV; this feature does not send customer orders, customer contact records, private messages, access tokens or Pinterest data.
Service providers and training
Katz Creative Systems operates NOMEV Shopify and Pinterest services; Mark Katz Photography operates Instagram services. Render hosts the Hub and its data; Cloudflare provides infrastructure services. OpenAI processes the selected inputs to return subject descriptions and visual suitability assessments. NOMEV will not use this feature for model training or fine-tuning. Provider data-sharing and retention controls depend on the applicable project configuration and agreements; this disclosure does not promise a special retention agreement or Zero Data Retention. Subject recognition will not identify people or infer sensitive personal traits.
Processing locations
NOMEV operates in the United States. Its OpenAI project uses Global processing, without a regional data-residency restriction. OpenAI and its subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries under the applicable service agreement and data-processing terms, including transfer safeguards where required. This is not a promise of US-only processing.
Instagram history and performance
With Instagram Insights permission, NOMEV reads up to 2,000 feed posts and Reels and up to 50 currently available Stories for product history and format-specific performance. Seasonal recommendations can compare up to three prior years against same-format posts from their own historical period, with less weight on older years. Business anniversaries use an owner-confirmed founding date; post timestamps alone never establish one. A scan can be incomplete; expired Stories and unavailable metrics are not treated as zero or proof of no prior use. With the current retention permission, NOMEV retains a bounded, encrypted working snapshot of these inputs for up to seven days to prepare recommendations between visits. Recent engagement is refreshed approximately every six hours and deeper history approximately daily while the workspace has been used within the last seven days. Refresh depends on provider availability and rate limits; previously checked evidence is dated and is not represented as a new read. This history expansion does not expand the external model image sample or send Story images or engagement metrics to OpenAI. Product profiles do not change saved drafts.
Analysis retention
Reusable knowledge is limited to source-linked website and Shopify catalog image subjects, visual-quality assessments, image hashes, assessment version and original assessment/check dates, bounded to 2,000 current eligible catalog images per workspace. Product facts, verified business details and owner-confirmed anniversaries remain in the existing business catalog/profile; this feature does not copy them into a new social-data archive. Catalog assessments remain encrypted while needed for the enabled service and source authorization remains valid. They are pruned when an eligible product or image is removed or replaced, the source changes or disconnects, permission is withdrawn, or the account is deleted or inactive. No Instagram-derived matches, captions, metrics or Pinterest data enter this lasting catalog store. Raw Instagram history, matches and prepared cards retain their separate seven-day working-snapshot limit. Older v3 permissions remain 30-minute memory only; v4 remains seven-day working retention. Neither is automatically upgraded. Infrastructure backups follow hosting retention; restored copies must pass current authorization and source checks. Saved OpenAI response history depends on request settings; the review environment disables it for new requests. Standard provider abuse monitoring can last up to 30 days, with legal/safety exceptions; this is not Zero Data Retention or a promise of immediate provider deletion.
Refresh and evidence freshness
Remembering is separate from refreshing. Original assessment dates are preserved. Image content and assessment-version checks allow unchanged catalog images to reuse an earlier assessment without another model request. Requested similar-product comparisons use bounded image batches; assessments not verified within seven days wait for verification before influencing similarity ordering. Image assessments do not influence recommendation ranking. The connected Shopify catalog refreshes daily through its existing catalog worker; website-only catalogs are rescanned approximately daily during background preparation. Website business stories, shipping-policy checks and recent Instagram engagement refresh approximately every six hours; deeper Instagram history approximately daily while recently active. Provider failures do not become fresh evidence. Audience-driven recommendations expire after 48 hours without refresh; calendar/gifting ideas after six hours; weather ideas after one hour and only for significant local events within 72 hours. Catalog availability and image identity are rechecked when serving a prepared idea. Existing catalog connectors and owner edits remain authoritative for product facts.
Your choices and saved work
Business setup offers one optional AI image-analysis choice. Background preparation is included when a new account completes the disclosed setup. Existing permissions and refusals are not automatically changed. Manage detailed controls and sources in Data & privacy. Withdrawal, disconnection or replacement of a selected source will stop its new analysis and invalidate its subject-analysis cache. Permission must apply to the current source identity. Turning AI image analysis off removes its remembered assessments and preserves background recommendation permission, saved campaigns, selected media and drafts. Turning background recommendations off does not grant or withdraw AI image-analysis permission. Manual product selection remains available without it. Catalog-based recommendations do not require image-analysis permission. Curator comparisons are optional after selecting a direction. Deleting an account or requesting deletion of source data is a separate request and can affect data that you ask us to delete.
Permission records and deletion requests
NOMEV records the current permission choice, selected sources, disclosure version, acting workspace owner and update time with the workspace so it can enforce your choice. Permission is bound to the selected source identities. A changed source requires renewed permission. These records are separate from the bounded analysis storage and remain while needed to operate the workspace and honor your choice; applicable deletion requests and legal retention requirements also apply. Contact support@nomevapp.com to request access, correction or deletion. We handle NOMEV copies and applicable service-provider requests separately and will not describe provider deletion as complete without confirmation.
AI processing and service providers
Merchant data is not sold. Render hosts the Hub and its data, Cloudflare provides infrastructure, and OpenAI processes authorized content-generation and optional image-analysis inputs. Ordinary draft generation uses AI independently of the image-analysis choice. Pinterest API data is excluded from external model requests. The sales-scoring design described below sends no sales records or sales-derived trends, scores or recommendations to AI providers.
Pinterest API information is fetched for authorized live connection and board selection and, where enabled and separately authorized, user-approved publishing. It is not retained as a durable intelligence source or sent to external models. Independent merchant uploads and Shopify product facts may support outgoing drafts under their own authorizations. Disconnect removes associated credentials and Pinterest-derived data; no post-disconnect retention grace period is assumed. Minimal NOMEV operational receipts exclude Pinterest content, board/Pin identifiers and payloads.
Provider retention and deletion limits
Active NOMEV data, provider-held copies and backups have separate lifecycles. Provider copies follow standard published retention and applicable legal or safety exceptions. Application deletion does not immediately erase every backup or provider copy. OpenAI standard abuse-monitoring retention can be up to 30 days, subject to exceptions; saved response state depends on request settings. NOMEV does not claim Zero Data Retention or verified deletion of historical OpenAI requests. Render recovery, snapshot and log availability depends on the service and workspace plan. Restored data must be checked against current deletion and authorization records before use. Independent saved drafts are not automatically deleted by turning off optional analysis, but remain subject to applicable account or source-data deletion requests.
Proposed sales recommendations — not active
NOMEV proposes optional read-only Shopify sales comparisons to help each merchant identify strong-selling and seasonal products to promote in Hub Recommendations. Recent 28-day sales would be compared with the same period last year. Retrieval and active sales-record retention are bounded to a rolling maximum of 400 days. Local calculations use minimum order/line/product references, dates, quantities, currency, discount-adjusted merchandise amounts, refunds and cancellation/payment status. Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment details and order notes are excluded. No sale of personal data, cross-context advertising, buyer profiling, automated customer outreach or cross-merchant use is intended.
Local-only sales scoring
Sales comparisons and recommendation scores are calculated within NOMEV, without an AI provider. The review implementation adds a bounded sales signal to the shared recommendation engine before grouping and ranking products. Both 28-day comparison periods require complete, fresh coverage and at least five contributing orders per product and currency. Missing or stale sales are not treated as zero. Currencies are not combined; multiple eligible currencies for one product suppress its sales signal until a reporting-currency policy is available. These are merchant-specific analytics, not shopper profiling or a prediction of future demand. Optional image-analysis permissions do not apply to sales scoring.
Sales safeguards and release status
Production sales processing remains disabled. The isolated review Hub demonstrates a connected development-store workflow: simulated Shopify orders are read on demand, ranked locally by recent net sales, and a selected product continues into campaign setup. This development-only ranking is distinct from the prior-year scoring example, which uses fictional products, sales and event evidence. Separate API checks validated a paid order, full refund and cancellation. Live 400-day historical retrieval, partial-refund and multi-page validation, and production integration and release checks remain pending. No sales-derived information is passed into ordinary campaign prompts or saved drafts. Before production activation, NOMEV must complete integration and validation, obtain required Shopify access and current merchant authorization, and apply applicable customer choices. Marketing subscription status is not treated as analytics consent. Publishing this notice does not record new consent, change existing permissions or enable sales. Existing content features remain available without sales access.
Sales-derived retention and deletion
Active sales records are bounded to 400 days from the sale. Local scores are recalculated from eligible remaining data rather than retained as separate recommendation snapshots. Withdrawal, redaction, uninstall, correction or expiry removes affected active contributions under the sales controls; independent campaigns and drafts are preserved. Earlier fictional review AI suggestions, if retained, remain subject to their existing maximum seven-day retention and earlier source/permission invalidation. Earlier agreement and optional-AI receipts retain their original versions and dates as records; they are not used to authorize the local-only workflow to send data to AI. The earlier optional sales-to-AI proposal is retired. Historical OpenAI request handling remains unresolved; stopping new use does not establish historical provider deletion. Standard hosting backup/log retention and legal or security exceptions still apply; immediate erasure of provider backups is not promised.
